Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences, University of Illinois

Dr. Cory Suski is a faculty member in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research is focused on developing conservation strategies to protect fish from challenges that include climate change, land use change and recreational angling.

Dr. Suski and his students use both field and laboratory studies to answer conservation questions, and the tools they use in these studies span from genes to ecosystems (and everything in between). Some recent studies that Dr. Suski and his group have conducted include defining why fish strike fishing lures, understanding how fish respond to thermal challenges, and stopping the spread of invasive species.
