International Mahseer Conferences

The International Mahseer Conferences (IMC) have brought together the various stakeholders from the research and management community that have an interest in the health of Mahseer species. These IMCs have included, research biologists, resource managers, ecotourism leaders, conservation professionals, agency personnel, and industry leaders and provided an opportunity to evaluate and deliberate the topics of migratory fish, river connectivity, research methods, and freshwater biodiversity.

Joint Partnerships

One of the products of the IMC was to form regional alliances for scientist and managers that have an interested with Mahseer. The International Joint Partnership for Mahseer Conservation” is meant to provide a forum for exchange of information and for coordinating joint activities across the region. The Joint partnership also works together to plan future International Mahseer Conferences.
