Doug Harpur is Chairman and CEO of North Oaks Investments LLC. Prior to this, he was Chairman of Organix Corporation, an organic fertilizer company, founded by he and his wife, with operations throughout Canada. He currently resides in Bermuda, but makes at least two trips to Canada per year and two trips to New Zealand per year. North Oaks Investments LLC (DBA as “Harpur Companies”) is a private personal holding company owned by members of the Harpur family that manages a group of approximately 50 companies. The Harpur Companies are involved in farming, forestry, land development and other related industries. They, along with our current partners, own and manage approximately 140,000 acres of timberland in Oregon, approximately 35,000 acres of farming and forestry land in New Zealand, 64,000 acres of forest in Quebec, a land development company in Minnesota, a farm in Alberta and three farms in Quebec.

Doug is also one of four partners owning Kenauk Nature (www.kenauk.com), a 65,000 acre private nature preserve north of the Ottawa River that specializes in providing hunting, fishing, and ecotourism opportunities. The owners have also developed the Kenauk Institute, a biology research station that facilitates a wide variety of basic and applied research studies aimed at developing conservation strategies across a wide range of taxa.
