Bruce Williams

Bruce C. Williams has more than 40 years of experience in banking and financial counseling. He began his career with a bank in Oklahoma City, where he spent nine years. In 1986, Bruce joined an independent investment counseling firm in Phoenix, and became a partner in 1991. In 2003, he joined Ironwood Investment Counsel as a founding partner.

Bruce received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Vanderbilt University. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1991. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Phoenix CFA Society. Bruce recently retired from the Board of Trustees of the Arizona Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, which he served for twenty years. He served as Chairman from 2000 to 2003.

An active member of St. Barnabas on the Desert Episcopal Church, Bruce has served on the Vestry, Finance Committee and is the immediate past chairman of the Stewardship Committee.

Finally, Bruce is a passionate fly fisher and casting instructor. His interest was kindled over 30 years by his late father. His service on the Board of the Arizona Flycasters led Bruce and a partner to establish and oversee a fly shop for almost ten years. He earned the Master Casting Instructor designation in 2005, and the Two-Handed Casting Instructor certification in 2014. He serves on the Flyfishers International Casting Board of Governors as Chair, and also serves as Chair of the Ethics and Examiner Review Committees.

Bruce has recently been elected to the board of Western Rivers Conservancy, and the board of Sinagua Malt. Inc. Sinagua is a benefit corporation.
